Child Safety Standards
Effective date: May 4, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Pawcial is committed to protecting children from exploitation and abuse. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behaviour, or any content that sexualizes or endangers minors. This page describes the standards we uphold, how we enforce them, and how anyone — user or member of the public — can report a concern.
These standards apply to every part of the Pawcial Service: user accounts, dog and parent profiles, photos, messages, and any other content created or shared through the app.
2. Age Policy
Pawcial is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will suspend the account and delete the associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you believe a Pawcial account belongs to a minor, please report it using the channels in Section 4 below.
3. Prohibited Content and Behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited on Pawcial and result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities where applicable:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, videos, drawings, computer-generated imagery, or text descriptions.
- Sexualization of minors, including suggestive imagery, role-play, or commentary.
- Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to develop inappropriate relationships with anyone the user knows or has reason to believe is a minor.
- Sharing personal contact information of minors, or attempting to lure minors off-platform.
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates the abuse or exploitation of children.
- Use of Pawcial accounts by adults to misrepresent themselves as minors, or vice versa.
4. How to Report a Concern
Anyone can report content or behaviour that violates these standards. We treat every report seriously and review it promptly.
In the app
Tap the Report button on any user profile, dog profile, or chat message. Choose Child safety concern as the reason and provide any details that help us investigate. Reports are confidential — the reported user is not told who reported them.
By email
Email safety@pawcial.com with a description of the concern, links or screenshots if available, and any account information that helps us locate the content. You do not need a Pawcial account to email this address.
Emergencies
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (in the United States, dial 911), then notify us. For suspected CSAM, you may also report directly to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
5. Our Response to Reports
We aim to acknowledge and triage every report involving child safety within 24 hours of receipt. Our response includes one or more of the following:
- Content removal — offending content is removed from the platform immediately upon confirmation.
- Account suspension or termination — accounts found to violate these standards are suspended pending review and terminated for confirmed violations. Terminated users are blocked from creating new accounts.
- Preservation of evidence — we preserve relevant data as required by law to support ongoing investigations.
- Reporting to authorities — see Section 6.
6. Reporting to Authorities
When we identify or are notified of apparent CSAM or other illegal exploitation of minors, Pawcial reports to the relevant authorities, including:
- NCMEC CyberTipline (United States) — apparent CSAM is reported in compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
- Local law enforcement— where the conduct may also constitute a crime under applicable law in the user's jurisdiction or our own.
- Equivalent national bodies in other jurisdictions where Pawcial operates, when required by local law.
We cooperate with valid legal process and law-enforcement requests in a manner consistent with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
7. Designated Point of Contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact is reachable at safety@pawcial.com. This contact is monitored and is authorised to speak about Pawcial's CSAE prevention practices, compliance posture, and report handling.
8. Updates to These Standards
We may update these standards from time to time as our product evolves and as legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Pawcial after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated standards.
